It'll bring you more leads, more clients, and more MOOLAH.
But in order to be successful when it comes to marketing, the very first thing you need to take note of is your ideal client!
After all, every bit of marketing you do is geared towards them.
Today, I'm breaking it down for you and giving you the 4 details you absolutely MUST know about your ideal client. These details will be the foundation of your marketing strategy. So let's get down to business:
1. Who They Are (Demographics)
First up, let's talk about demographics. You need to know their age, if they're male or female, their income level, marriage status, if they have kids and even their occupation.
This information tells you WHO your buyer is and is the first part of the "buyer persona" you'll need to create.
2. What They NEED (Pain Points)
Figuring out exactly what your ideal client struggles with (pertaining to your biz) is actually what gives you the ability to create a solution. IE solve all their problems.
What keeps them up at night? What do they LONG for?
Get 100% clear on what they struggle with and how YOU can solve their problems, because that knowledge is what you're going to use to actually "map out" the journey you'll be taking them on with your marketing.
3. How You Can Solve Their Problems
Have you ever heard the term, "Start a business to solve a problem"? Well there's a reason that piece of advice makes so much sense...
Because solving problems is VALUABLE!
So now that you know WHAT problem you solve for your IC, it's time to make sure you have the solution CLEARLY mapped out.
4. WHY They Buy
You need to have psychographic information on your ideal client... What the heck does that mean?
Well, psychographics cover things like: personality, values, interests, hobbies and spending habits! They, quite literally, give you info on WHY your ideal client buys!
You need to know:
- WHY your ideal client may seek out your particular solution to their problem
- If they view your service as a need or want
- How they need to feel BEFORE they buy
- The driving force behind their decision to work with you
Whew, that was a good bit of info, yes? Well you have some work ahead of you. Do you have this info on your ideal client? You're going to need ALL of this to move forward with creating an EFFECTIVE marketing strategy.
